Lahore, July 9, 2024: The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, held an important meeting today with the coaching staff of the Pakistan men’s cricket team. In attendance were white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten, red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie, and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood.
The meeting focused on strategies to improve batting, bowling, and fielding, with an agreement to develop comprehensive plans in these areas. It was decided that player selection would be based on meeting fitness standards.
Addressing concerns about team composition, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged the talent within the team but emphasized the need for optimal combinations. He expressed full confidence in the coaching staff and assured them of complete support in player development and coaching matters.
The coaches shared their insights on enhancing team performance through structured plans, which received unanimous approval from the PCB Chairman. The Director of International PCB, Usman Wahla, was also present at the meeting.
