Quantum Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) announced a strategic alliance with Huawei Cloud Pakistan on Monday, aimed at accelerating the adoption and implementation of cloud and AI technologies across Pakistan. This collaboration aims to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of Pakistani businesses and government, propelling the nation’s digital transformation.
The management teams from both organizations emphasized their commitment to leveraging their respective strengths. Quantum Cloud & AI brings extensive international expertise in cloud and AI, based on their experience in the UK and USA, while Huawei offers world-class local expertise in cloud services and AI. Together, they aim to provide scalable and secure solutions that will empower various industries within the country.
Mansoor, CEO of Quantum Cloud & AI Technologies, expressed excitement about the partnership with an industry-leading hyperscaler and looked forward to working with Huawei to introduce AI-enabled solutions in the health, agriculture, and financial sectors. He also briefed the media on health-tech solutions using AI services from Quantum Cloud in Pakistan.
Jia Shuhao, CTO of Huawei Cloud, highlighted the strengths of Huawei Cloud and reiterated its commitment to cloud and AI adoption in Pakistan. He explained how Huawei is working closely with all relevant stakeholders from the private sector and government to enable organizations and government agencies in their digital journey, including addressing technical and policy matters.
As part of this alliance, Huawei targets key sectors such as FMCG, finance, health, and the public sector. These industries, identified as having significant growth potential, stand to benefit greatly from the enhanced efficiency, security, and scalability that cloud-based solutions can provide.
The meeting also included participation from a leading health tech organization from the USA, which is set to introduce its cutting-edge health tech solutions on the cloud in collaboration with Quantum Cloud & AI Technologies. Waqas Amjad discussed the vast opportunities in Pakistan’s health sector and reiterated his commitment to developing innovative health sector solutions with Quantum Cloud & AI.
Regarding Pakistan’s readiness to support the transition to cloud services, the companies acknowledged existing challenges but noted significant progress. Ongoing investments are being made to improve internet connectivity, increase data centre capacity, and enhance cybersecurity measures.
