Imran Khan said “The military belongs to the whole of Pakistan, not to the Army Chief alone or any political party. General Asim Munir should consider what decisions the nation is making, where it stands, and where the military leadership stands. Such a distance between the army and the people has never been seen. They have pitted the country’s largest party against the military. They ignited the fire on May 9th, and the ISI has hidden footage to keep the real culprits from being revealed.
If the government does not accept the decision on reserved seats and tries to extend the Chief Justice’s term, we will launch a street movement. They have amended the Election Act to stop the Supreme Court’s decision, and now they want to obtain a two-thirds majority through back doors to amend the Constitution. They are not giving us reserved seats. First, they violated the constitution by not holding elections in two provinces, and now they are breaking it again by not implementing the Supreme Court’s decision. They are not accepting the Supreme Court’s decision because they need a two-thirds majority to keep Qazi Faez Isa in place. They have destroyed the economy and are now attacking the Supreme Court. The nation is waiting; the situation is boiling over.
The Chief Justice and the Election Commission colluded, and the Army Chief supported them, but their entire plan failed on February 8th. Our conditions are worse than in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina also had her own Chief Justice, Army Chief, and Election Commission. When people took to the streets in Bangladesh, the military refused to shoot their own people. The situations in Bangladesh and Pakistan are not different. Despite the oppression on February 8th, our party won. Currently, 90% of the people are with PTI, unlike the support for Khaleda Zia. Whatever they try now, the Pakistani military will not shoot the people. I am about to make a call; people are ready. The fear has broken, and people are prepared to go to jail and even sacrifice their lives. If you break the constitution in Pakistan, the future of the youth is in danger.
Before the elections, our party faced a crackdown under the pretext of May 9th. Half of our leadership was jailed, and the other half went underground. The rest were forced to leave the party through threats. They committed major fraud in the elections, and now they fear that opening constituencies will reveal all their thefts. That’s why they want to place their judges in the tribunals. They know that such a massive fraud cannot be covered up. The former Commissioner of Rawalpindi said that those who won by 70,000 votes were made to lose. Patton said that 74,000 votes were cast in Nawaz Sharif’s constituency.
When they find out that Imran Khan has contact with the establishment, they start trembling, even though I have no contact or communication with anyone. We have authorized Mehmood Khan Achakzai to negotiate with politicians. PTI will not negotiate with puppets. If we negotiate with these puppet politicians, it means we have accepted the current government.
If you want to reject our demands, go ahead. I wanted to talk for the sake of the country. PTI’s popularity is increasing day by day. If you don’t want to talk, don’t. I’m in no hurry.”
